Hello!

Welcome.  I am on a bit of a mission, and I hope you will join me (or at least follow along).  No, I’m not talking about some religious or political campaign.  I’m on a mission to help people prepare themselves and learn to be self-sufficient in case of a large scale catastrophe.  There is a variety of frightening situations that our society may be faced with in the future.  I won’t pretend to know when or what might happen.  But I do know that far too many people are unprepared to sustain themselves if the need arises. 

The first step in being prepared to handle a disaster, costs nothing but your time.  Build strong relationships with your neighbors.  Establish a sense of community.  As corny as it might sound, we all need to pull together if we’re going to survive a long-term crisis.

If it turns out we never need it, that sense of community still has many benefits.  Your time will not be wasted.  So introduce yourself to that neighbor who’s name you don’t know.  Invite the shy neighbor over for coffee.  Lend a helping hand.  Whatever it takes, just get out there and get to know the people around you.  You’ll be glad you did.
